Anna has been an avid animal lover ever since she was a child and has led a vegan lifestyle for over seven years. She has a background in linguistics and communications, having completed a Bachelor’s Hons in English Language and Literature at The University of Nottingham and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics at the University of Birmingham. In her psycholinguistics dissertation, she studied the relationship between cognitive dissonance and dissociation, and the euphemisms we use to talk about the use of animal products, amassing over 100 research participants.

Following this, Anna ran her award-nominated articles website “Alert Kiwi”, publishing on animal rights, veganism, sustainability, diversity and health and was a deputy editor for the University of Birmingham’s equal rights magazine “Voice”. Anna has spent two years freelancing with small businesses, organisations and writers to offer services in communications, social media, digital marketing and brand strategy.

What I love most is combining my love for animals with my passion for meaningful written and visual content. I’m beyond thrilled to be working with Freedom for Animals to bring the stories of vulnerable animals to the world to educate and raise awareness. We owe it to them to protect and love them, not abuse and exploit them.
